Alpha Pup Sparky
Sparky co-founded the Bayou City Pups and became the first President of the organization
Born outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, Pup Tank most recently moved to Houston in April of 2014 from Washington D.C. He is a former Air Force Airman, who is currently pursuing his degree in Culinary Arts. Pup Tank served as regional chairman of Out Serve Northern Tier (North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana), serving LGBT active duty servicemen and women. Over the course of the last 4 years, he has volunteered at countless Leather and Fetish events ranging from the Master/slave Conference, Leather History, Philadelphia Leather Leadership Conference and Philadelphia Leather Pride. He was an officer of Mid-Atlantic Kennel Korps as Vice-President and assisted in running the “puppy mosh” for MAL 2014. Upon founding the Bayou City Pups, he took on the role of Vice-President. In 2015, he won the title of Mr. Alamo City Leather and competed at IML 37.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Pup Chip has always been an active member of the Houston community. From work with area theatres and non-profits to real estate development and acquisitions, you can typically find him running around like crazy, distracted only by the occasional squeaky toy or tennis ball. He is truly excited to be a part of this new and exciting step in the Houston leather community and wants to send a giant tail wag out to all the incredible people who have helped to make it possible. Pup Chip took on the role of the Secretary on the first board of the Bayou City Pups.
Alpha Pup Rok
Born in South Louisiana, Alpha Pup Rok has lived in Houston since 2005, after moving from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. Rok is a technology executive and self-professed geek, with a diverse background in Computer Science and Theatre. In his college days, he was an outspoken LGBT advocate at Louisiana Tech University and through the early online channels. Over his many years, Rok has volunteered in the LGBT community in several capacities, ranging from countless Pride and Leather/Fetish related events to organizing/supporting LGBT charity events. Most recently, he has worked with Philadelphia Leather Leadership Conference, IML 37, Leather History Conference and several successful local and national fundraising events. In his professional life, Rok has worked to further diversity in Fortune 500 companies by organizing LGBT diversity sessions/celebrations and working to extend inclusivity training for managers at all levels. Rok has identified as a pup for almost 2 decades and is known by some as “Grandpa.” In 2014, he helped found the Bayou City Pups and now serves as their President. In 2015, he won the title of Southern Most Puppy, hosted in his stomping grounds of NOLA, representing the Southern Region of the U.S. He strives to teach through action, lead by example, and always has a paw to lend.
Originally from the Texas Gulf Coast, born in Texas City, and raised in the Houston Metroplex, Daddy Wes carries many responsibilities. Co-Executive Producer of the After Hours program on 90.1 FM KPFT Houston, Chairman for the Houston Council of Clubs, Secretary for the National Leather Association - Houston and Chairman for the Houston Spirit of Leather Awards. Daddy Wes not only contributes time and efforts through the organizations that he is affiliated with but he also gives of his time to other organizations that need help like the Gulf Coast Archive and Museum of GLBT History, Inc. While no longer a board member of the Bayou City Pups, Daddy Wes serves as a trusted advisor to the board having been one of the original founding members.
