Meet Our Board
Kota - President
A Florida Native, Pup Kota was part of the Tampa Bay Puppy Pack. He relocated from Tampa, FL to Houston, TX in 2018. He has held other leadership roles both professionally and academically. Kota was previously President of the Bayou City Pups (2019/2020). He believes in “community” and inclusion for all.
Kota is the Pup of Montrose 2019/2020/2021 (aka The reign that never ends). The Pup of Montrose is part of the First Family of Montrose. Together, (as Daddy, Mother, boy, girl, and Puppy) they are leaders in the community in which they help many non-profit organizations through fundraising efforts and community service.
When Kota is not menacing the neighborhood, you can usually find him eating his way through Houston, checking out all the kibbles the city has to offer. On his downtime, this husky is usually being lazy, cuddled up in bed.
When asked what question he’d ask other pups, Kota said “Squeaky or Bouncy – What do you look for in a toy?”
Tricket - Secretary
Pup Tricket joined the pup community in 2021 and has been an active member with BCP since 2022. Tricket has looked forward to taking on a more active role within the community and is excited to become Secretary and serve the Bayou City Pups and pup community of houston. Tricket is a service pup always starving to help others in any way possible. Tricket lives by the saying “Make a difference for one person, once a day”

TorqueSpec - Events Coordinator
Torque Spec is the Pup of Montrose 2022. The Pup of Montrose is part of the First Family of Montrose. Together, (as Daddy, Mother, boy, girl, and Puppy) they are leaders in the community in which they help many non-profit organizations through fundraising efforts and community service.
When asked to describe himself, TorqueSpec had this to say: “ I’m sort of like a Furby with a knife: I’m adorable, but a little unnerving, and also… who gave him a sharp object?”
TorqueSpec is a massive Harley Quinn fanatic, and it shows: the hood he custom altered, his eccentric and over-the-top jacket collection (most of which he makes himself) even his signature mallet and baseball bat are all indicative of this unique pup!
Tag! - Treasurer
Pup Tag! is a lovable Labrador that moved to Houston in March of 2019. Originally from New Orleans, Tag! served as the Vice President of the New Orleans Pups and Handlers Association. After moving to Houston, he competed in the annual Southern Most Puppy competition and trotted away as SMP V.
Tag says the “!” punctuating his name represents the energy, passion, and fervor that he tries to bring to everything puppy! He loves making friends and doing all he can to make sure others get to enjoy puppy play as much as he has.
